IPBrick v4.3 - Available updates
IMPORTANT NOTES:
 
  • Before installing an update, always read the information provided with it.
  • It is advised to install updates in the order of release, in order to avoid dependency/conflict problems
  • After installing the updates, always click on "Update Settings". If multiple updates are going to be installed, this can be done after inserting the last update.
  • All installed updates are listed in the IPBrick web interface: Advanced Settings->IPBrick->Update
  • After installing an update all IPBrick configuration backup files (available in the Advanced Settings -> Settings menu) older than the update installation date, will not be usable
  • The reason why the updates don't have a sequential number is due to the existence of specific updates that don't belong yet to the main IPBrick structure. Some of these specific updates are referenced here because they conflict with standard ones.

    This is a tgz file that contains all the available updates for IPBrick v4.3.

    Corrects a VoIP default route
    - This update corrects a failure in the default VoIP routing scheme of the IPBrick when working with BRI cards!

    Improvements for SugarCRM integration

  • update_03-v4.3  [15-11-2007]  (id=000128)
    New option "FTP Server" in the IPBrick.C menu. It's now possible to manage ftp accounts.
    Also some web server improvements were done. New options are now available:
    - Enable/disable the safe mode parameter for the website
    - Define which directories can be accessed by the website
    - Define the character encoding for the site
    - Define if the typed URL will always be maintained or not.

    - Solves a problem that prevented analog fax machines connected to PRI PBXs to send faxes to PSTN
    - Adds the Speex codec to asterisk
    - Solves a conflict between the driver zaptel and the kernel 2.6.22
    - Solves a bug that prevented the selection of some tone zones in the Analog / ISDN PRI options
    - Allows call pickup by internal alias

    - Adds new option to download the sent faxes in PDF format.

    - Adds the possibility to route by caller id;

    - Corrects a web interface bug on the reverse resolution DNS zones;

    - Changes the register script for G729;
    - Changes the way voip services are restarted and reloaded.

    Asterisk queues improvement:
    - It's now possible to create and manage queue agents that can be added as members of a queue.
    - This agents have the feature of "hot desking", being able to login and logout from any SIP phone.

    Adds the possibility to define if the file shares are browseable.

    MySQL access improvements
    IPBrick applications using MySQL don't depend on the credentials of the MySQL super user (root).

    Remote Backup improvements:
    - Solves problem with the periodic backups
    - Changes the rsync parameters when the backup destination is a NAS
    - If the configured backup destination is a RSYNC server, it is assumed that the name of the remote rsync folder is the FQDN of the origin IPBrick server.

    Various functionalities/fixes:
    - It's now possible to change the default IPBrick gateway without rebooting the system (which was automatically done)
    - Corrected problems with the Fax Users management when IPBrick is in Client mode
    - VPN-SSL management: changes related with the definition of the acceptable VPN networks
    - Other improvements were done related with: FAX service, WEB Server management and the Remote Backup feature
