Join in the domain

This section describes the process of:

• Configuring a workstation with DHCP;
• Joining a workstation in a domain.

This process description presupposes the following:

• the domain controlling server is IPBrick.I;
• the DNS domain is empresa.pt;
• the domain is EMPRESA.

In order to join a workstation in a domain you need to take the following steps:

1. Know the MAC address of the machine's network interface card;
2. Choose a machine "name";
3. Have a machine IP address;
4. Create an entry for the machine in IPBrick.I;
5. Update IPBrick.I.
