IM

IM (Instant Messaging) is a service that lets you exchange text messages at near-real-time speed. IPBrick's IM server is ejabberd, an IM server based on the Jabber (XMPP) protocol.

With this server you can communicate both using the Jabber protocol and the MSN protocol through a MSN gateway. Access to MSN contacts is controlled by this web interface. By default, the IM service, when enabled, blocks access to all MSN contacts, except the ones explicitly authorized in this web interface.
