Connecting to IPBrick

The computer where you are installing IPBrick may have one, two or more network interface cards (NIC).
The first NIC that IPBrick will detect, during the kernel startup sequence, will be the private one (also known as internal). It is this NIC that we will work with in the following sections.

There are two ways to Access IPBrick:

• Direct connection using a crossover network cable
• Connecting through a hub or a switch
